Heart In Diamond creates genuine laboratory-grown diamonds with a personal connection: carbon prepared from ashes, hair or fur supplied for an individual order.

Personal diamonds since 2005
Founded in 2005, Heart In Diamond has helped people turn meaningful material into diamonds that can be kept loose or worn in jewellery. Our New Zealand team will talk through the material you have, the options available and the steps from order to delivery.
A real diamond, grown in a laboratory
The carbon source is prepared from the sample supplied for your order. Under controlled high pressure and temperature, a diamond crystal grows; specialists then cut and polish it. Like other laboratory-grown diamonds, the finished stone has the chemical and physical properties of diamond. Explore the creation process in more detail.
Colour, cut and setting
You can choose among the available carat ranges, colours and cuts. The exact shade of a coloured diamond develops during growth, so each stone has its own appearance. A finished diamond can be kept loose or placed in a ring, pendant or another compatible setting.
Our colour guide shows the typical tint ranges; the gallery offers ideas from completed pieces.

Materials and timing
For a standard order we request 100 g of cremated ashes or 2 g of hair or fur. If you have less, ask us to assess the available material before sending anything. Diamond creation usually takes around 90 days from receipt of suitable material; jewellery and optional services may add time.
Certificates
Your diamond is supplied with a Heart In Diamond Certificate of Authenticity and the documents confirmed for the order. You may also request a report from an independent gemmological laboratory. We will explain what each document records, and whether an additional charge or time applies, before you decide.
